Fonts For The Title Of 'Wilderness' -Barney-

We considered this font mainly because of its inconsistency within its own writing style (such as the blank bars within some of the letters). The font also has a slightly ordered nature that comes with the letters following a consistent size. The inconsistent nature of the font fits the idea of our title; that we as people create our own wildernesses from the ordered urban society that we have organised ourselves into.

This font, again, we considered for the inconsistencies in the typeface and the ordered nature it has within it. This font is slightly more fitting than the previous font, as it is rougher than the previous one. The solid black behind the font is also very fitting, as it looks as if it resembles a rather stylised cityscape, further highlighting the deeper meaning of our title. In addition to this, the uneven layout of the bottom of the text as opposed to the relatively flat top of the text looks as if the cityscape it is resembling has been turned on its head, which again highlights the deeper meaning of our title, that the urban landscape is a dangerous wilderness that can as often present danger as it can safety, and nothing is as it seems; superficial and farcical. This is also the font we have chosen for our final title.

We considered this font mainly for its messy paint-splattered effect, which could be seen as to contrast to the relatively neat typeface, again relating to the deeper meaning of our typeface
